Derek & Nikki Dale
Pastors Derek and Nikki Dale are the founding and Lead Pastors of Brighthouse Church.
Derek is a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and Nikki is a graduate of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together, they carry a deep love for the local church and a clear calling to build a life-giving community in Athens, Georgia.
In September 2024, they planted Brighthouse Church after sensing a strong and confirmed call from God to the city. Prior to launching Brighthouse, Derek served as a Campus Pastor and Dean of Daystar College, helping develop and equip students preparing for ministry. Throughout their years in leadership, Derek and Nikki have invested in students, leaders, and churches with a passion for raising up the next generation.
Derek leads with vision, authenticity, and encouragement, while Nikki is a gifted teacher and communicator who equips people to grow deeper in their faith and walk confidently in their calling. Together, they are committed to building a church where people can encounter Jesus, find belonging, and live with purpose.
They believe God is moving in Athens and are honored to serve as Lead Pastors of Brighthouse Church as they continue building with faith and expectation.
